Innova Star Destroyer

Innova Star Destroyer

Can handle headwinds and throws with off axis torque. Not suggested for beginning players. The Destroyer is a very fast stable long distance driver. This disc is much like a faster Wraith, but with a little more high and low speed stability. Great disc for sidearm throwers and those with lots of power.

"The Destroyer is a fast, stable power driver with significant glide. A great disc for sidearm throwers and those with lots of power."

this distance driver has become a legend. it's one of Innovas most sold discs ever. not very beginner friendly, but different runs offer different flight paths. Lighter disc or G-Star plastic can help you if you want a Destroyer less overstable. for advanced players, most of destroyers are the perfect distance driver. Turns over a bit, and maybe has little fade. I've thrown very beaten up Star Destroyer that went straight into roller, and Also new Bottom Stamp Star Destroyers, that I couldn't flip up at all.

Destroyers overall have good shape, they fit for backhands and forehands.

Flatness: 5 somewhat Domey

Stiffness: 4 neutral stiff

The run and plastic does a big diffrent on the Destroyer. In star its more stable, a halo star calvin destroyer is more overstable. So it depends on how much fade you need. But it is great for forehand and backhand. Its a nice disc to have several of, fx a new one and a beat in one

The Innova Destroyer is an absolute beast! Get ready to unleash mind-blowing distances with this bad boy. Its speed and stability are off the charts, and that reliable fade at the end will make your shots truly epic!

The Star Destroyer is possibly the best long distance driver on the market.

The flight of the Star Destroyer starts to differentiate itself from other distance drivers only once the disk flies ~120 meters or further. In longer flights Star Destroyer has a nice amount of turn, but still fades reliably at the end of the flight. This allows for controlled distance shots.

There's some amount of variation in Star Destroyers. The most understable ones can't be called particularly reliable, so beware. They're great for absolute maximum distance shots, though.

There's not really any point for a beginner to throw a Destroyer, or any other distance driver for that matter. You'll be better off with a fairway driver until you start hitting ~100 meters. And until you start reaching ~120 meters I doubt there's a significant difference in flight between a Destroyer, DD3, Cloud Breaker, Rive, or any other Destroyer-like disc.

The Destroyer is one of the best Disc Golf Discs ever produced. Overstable at first, but if you play it long enough it gets that very nice turn, which is perfect for max distance.

I currently have five in my bag. reaching from understable to very overstable.

5/5

if you are a beginner I would recommend wraith instead or destroyer in G-star plastic which tend to be is more stable than star or champion plastics. Awesome disc for more skilled players with faster arm speed.
