The MVP Atom is a straight flying putter with great potential for long approaches and off the tee shots. When new the Atom has a stability similar to the Proxy, with just a hair more fade. In time the Atom will beat in to a very straight and glidey putter. Much like the Proxy, the Atom is based on the Envy core.

Cosmic Electron Soft Details

Electron Soft is MVP's mid-grade plastic, but with more flex and surface grip. While it is not a very durable plastic, it is liked for putters if you like great grip and flexible discs. The Cosmic Electron plastic has added swirls and color patterns.

Atom's been my putter for the last 3 years in soft Cosmic E-plastic. Current soft runs are stiff but very tacky. Cosmic or regular.. doesn't seem to make a difference in feel. Don't assume this to be bendy/floppy like much older runs, or certainly like any Omega SS-like stuff out there. Flat top with a tiny shoulder and no bead give a great shallow feel. Also works as a driving putter for straight shots and long turnovers. The medium and soft plastics are very similar in feel. The soft is a tiny bit more bendy and bit more tacky new, but they are hard to tell apart when used. In my opinion, just a perfect feel for a baseline plastic and a great putter for a variety of putting styles.

After trying most of MVP's putters, I have landed on the Atom. I use Atom for my putting putters in the Cosmic Electron Soft plastic, and for throwing I use the Proton plastic. I keep an Envy in the bag as well in case there are alot of wind or I need to fade early.

The atom has become my go to putting putter, I've tried so many putters and the atom is the first one that really works for my putting style (hard spush putt).

The Feel of the atom is great for all hands on your typical putting fan grip. It's shallow, fast and holds straight all the way into the basket even on longer puts. I've putted both the firm and soft plastic. Both has sufficient grip in hotter conditions, although when it gets colder you might want to get electron or soft electron.

The Flight is definitely understable in base plastic, can't speak on premium blends. As it beats in it's a good hyzerflip to turnover disc. I only use it for putting though. It's fast and you can jam it into the chains trusting it's not gonna go left or right of the basket. I speculate it's better for a push, or spush put more than it is for spinputters, since it's so fast and less reliant on glide.
