I knew the Royal Grand was a great plastic and that lots of players loved the Rive, but I honestly had no idea that I would love this disc as much as I do! Great for flex shots and extremely reliable in the wind, and it just wants to glide forever!

The best feeling Distance Driver I ever had in my hand! The new Royal Grand feels amazing, is stiff enough but is a rather soft premium plastic, just the perfect firmness, similar to maybe Kastaplasts K1 Plastic. It's grippy and durable, but definetely not the most durable plastic out there. But it is the most smooth and best feeling plastic in my opinion.

I have or had 5 Rives. 1 Prototype one out of the Royal Box 1, 1 First Run, 2 Stock Runs and also one Misprint Stock Run out of Royal Box 4. I unfortunetely lost the Prototype ??

I normally carry 2 Rives in my Bag. 1 First Run and 1 Stock Run. The Stock Runs seem to consistently have a small dome with feels nice in the hand, especially on Backhand shots. But the Dome is not too big to feel bad with forehand, it is just flat enough to feel almost as good as the boardflat First Run.

I have used the First Run Rive for a while now and it beats in nicely to have a little bit of flip up and ride straight for a long time and then fade gently every time. And it goes really far! I can throw around 120m (400ft) with it Backhand and Forehand without throwing it on high max distance lines but rather low and safe. It just glides further than any other overstable disc I've tried. Though I dont think it is as overstable as advertised. The Stock Runs seem to be a little bit more overstable than my First Run out of the box, but they also fly very far without a flip up but with a foreward pushing fade.

Also a big plus for me is how the disc is feeling with forehand shots. Forehands with this disc also tend to go further than you expect without losing its reliability.

The Rive is definetly not just a Pro Players Disc, it can be a dependable overstable Distance Driver for Amateurs that still goes far or even the max Distance disc for advanced players with a big arm. I highly recommend trying it out!

Throwable 13 speeds don't come around that often, and a flippy Star plastic Boss has been in my bag for a while now because it is a classic OS max distance driver for good reasons. I was lucky to grab a couple of First Run Rives and after just a couple of months of beating in, they have pushed the Boss out of the bag, except for when it is a very windy day. The hand feel of the disc is everything that is advertised, smooth-edged and grippy even when damp. Where it really shines is its workability. I can hyzerflip it at max power, or I can anhyzer bomb it into the sky, and it eats up the distance properly, fading hard every time. On control lines I can hit 125m with accuracy, and I have maxed it out at 140m on a distance line. I have also been trying it out as a skip approach disc, but haven't cracked that move yet! :-/
