For me (120-140m), the Star Wraith is an understable distance driver. The Wraith needs a large hyzer angle when thrown hard, and it's difficult to trust the Wraith to come back once it starts turning.

It's easy to turn the Wraith too much and end up far more right than you intended, although those shots can go quite far. A couple of times I've flipped the Wraith too much, only to end up at around 135 meters and far more right than intended.

For those reasons, the Wraith makes for a good distance driver once you're throwing somewhere in the 90-110m range. Less than that and the Wraith will likely be a somewhat overstable, but possibly usable for headwinds and forehand shots.

When starting out, the Wraith makes for a much better choice than a Destroyer. Most people will fail to listen to this advice, and I did as well. Destroyer was my first distance driver and I never gave up throwing the Destroyer.

The distance did eventually improve to the point that I'm able to flip a Destroyer, but it took a long time. The Wraith and other slower and understable discs would have been more useful when starting out.

I have 4 wraith in my bag (and one other is swimming), my best driver, i am accurate with it, and i throw it to 300-350 feet, i tried champion and g-star but i have a better feeling with the star.

I feel like one does not need all that much arm speed to make this fly. My first distance driver was a star wraith that had a little dome that I could easily throw 80+ meters forehand within a few months of starting to play. Now I can trust this disc on almost every shot, whether it's a flex or some hyzer lines.

Would recommend everyone to try a star wraith

I threw the Wraith in S-Line and Halo Star Plastic. The S-Line I got was unfortunately very soft and more GStar than Star-like. Also it was a bit too flippy for me. I love the Halo Wraith though, both back- and forehand. I threw the stock Halo Wraith and it was my go-to driver until it made friends with the ground of the local pond.

Now I have two Garret Gurthie Tour Series Halo Wraith in my bag that are both gems. The design is sick, the colors (especially the chartreuse/yellow) are nice and the flight is awesome. My black one has a pretty hefty dome and once flew straight, even into a headwind. Now it is turning slightly/drifting right before it reliably finishes left (on a RHBH throw). The yellow one is domey, but not AS domey as the black one, and is a pretty stable but glidey disc. I use it mainly for long glidey hyzerbombs.

Overall this is a very nice disc, but absolutely not one for beginners. It is for people that have a decent enough armspeed, but can not get a good flight out of a destroyer I would say or are looking for something with a bit more turn out of the box.

The wraith is soooo gooood! Nice Hyzer Flip Disc when throwing a little beat in star about 120 meters. The halo plastic is the perfect add when there is more wind or you want more control/finish.

Easier disc with basically the same flight as a destroyer. If star plastic is too overstable would try wraith in g-star plastic which is often a more stable variant.

This is definitely my favourite forehand disc in both star and g-star plastics.

Better choice if destroyer is too hard for you just now.

Perfect driver for people not throwing 500+ feet. Seems like a disc more people should bag instead of destroyers.
