Its a good approach midrange if you like the disc feel because it is one of the most unique feeling disc out. There are no rounded corners to find on the disc. It is the slower version of the splice and it is very reliable even in a headwind. If you are missing a very overstable midrange that is a little bit different feeling than your regular midrange discs, then its a worth while disc to try.

The mutant is an extremely overstable midrange from Discmania. I got it because i didn't have a extremely overstable midrange and it quickly became one of my go-to overstable approaches. To be honest the mutant doesn't really fade, it seems more like it wants to dive straight down to the left on a backhand or right on a forehand. it has a reliable fade in any wind and i recommend this disc for anyone looking for something extremely overstable

The Mutant from Discmania in the Neo plastic is unique with it's weird design of no round edges. It's a overstable disc for short distances, but definitely not in a class of utility disc. Some wind or power will make it straight and fade quickly. It doesn't seem to come back from anhyzer too well either.
