The FD1 is designed to be a step up from our first ever fairway driver, the all-time bestseller FD. While the FD is designed to offer a fairly neutral flight path with high glide, the FD1 adds more controllability with a tick more fade, while still offering a good bit of glide to get you that extra distance. Discs labeled FD1 produced before mid-2025 actually use a different mold to those produced later, as we deemed the first iteration of the FD1 mold a bit too overstable for the slot. Onwards from mid-2025, what previously used to be the FD1 mold was renamed to FD2, while the mold previously known as the Instinct from our Evolution line assumed the FD1 title.
