The Whale is a super disc for beginners and is suitable for putting in base plastic as well as approachen in slightly more durable plastic.
The Whale has a very pleasant and round rim, which feels very comfortable in the hand and gives a good feeling when putting. I have tried the Whale in DX plastic. It has a relatively flat top. One thing to note is that the rim is relatively deep by comparison, which gives the disc a high glide when approaching. For players who prefer to play with putters with a flat rim, the Whale may not feel optimal.
When putting, the Whale flies very straight, which is especially good for spin putters. If you are looking for an affordable putter next to the flood of expensive Special Editions and Tour Series discs that has a high glide and flies very straight, the Whale is the right choice. A good and solid putter for beginners as well as advanced players and you can definitely give it a chance.
