Innova Valkyrie

The Valkyrie’s high speed turn and flight characteristics make it great choice for long range turnover shots and rollers. In lighter weights gives new players extra distance. Lighter weights also give players extreme range when thrown downwind, while maximum weights can give excellent upwind distance.

"The Valkyrie is a turnover distance driver with great glide. A great choice for tailwind or downhill drives."

My Flight Ratings 9/4.5/-2/2 Very Beginner Friendly

I have thrown the Valkyrie in three different types of Plastic:

DX: The DX Valkyrie was part of a starter set I bought when I had my first rounds of discgolf. It was quite lightweight but therefore very beginner friendly. Yet, it quickly turned into a stupid understable roller disc (which i eventually lost then... :-D).

Glow Champion: This was dyed by my friend with a Baby Groot and shortly after I was able to snag my first (and until today only) ace. It is a great disc to learn to throw. As my armspeed built up and the disc got more beat in, it became to flippy for me after a while (and the turn was not really reliable) which is why I then retired the disc and replaced it with a Halo Star I was able to snag here on Rocket Discs.

Halo Star: The Halo Star plastic is arguably the most stable Innova plastic out of the box and after throwing this disc a ton, I can absolutely confirm this. Out of the box I could even throw it into a light headwind and it would fly straight with a dependable fade. After beating it in a little bit, it is a good disc for hyzer flips or shots that should drift a little to the right before finishing left. It has a good glide (I would rather rate it 5 than 4). In general in the Halo Plastic I would rate it: 9 / 5 / -1 / 2.

Overall I can recommend this disc especially for beginners. If it wasn't for the ace and the cool dye, the Glow Champion would probably be my US roller disc today. The Halo Star is still a staple in my bag.
