The raptor is a great disc for dependable fade. When you have headwinds or need to fade right (rhbh) this is a great disc to pick out of the bag. The raptor is also great for forehands since its low profile rim and flatness. The one i bought in ts swirly esp was gummier than stock esp and little bit of dome (not bad for the forhand) but it flew overstable , but not like a meathook. It had a pushing hyzer but never flipped over .

Flatness: 2 Pretty flat
Stifness: 6 Somewhat stiff
I won this disc in a contest and have had it in my bag since that day. It is just such a good beefy disc. When I need something going 80 meter plus to with a ton of fade, I use this disc. for forehand it is amazing for sharp hyzers. This is so much better than a firebird. The disc is also very shallow, which makes it feel good for forehand, but i use it more for backhand. I would say it does not have 4 glide. If I ever lose mine, I would have to get a new one, because I don't think I can find anything to replace it.

Tour Series ESP Champions Cup plastic
The raptor in this run/plastic I find to be a bit more understable than the numbers suggest. I have thrown two discs in this plastic and both of them fly the exact same. When thrown hard (85% of 140m power) it tends to flip up from a hyzer release and go dead straight before starting to fade forwards. This also means that it goes quite far. It does still have the torque resistance required for forehand. If you're looking for a slightly more understable Raptor or a disc that will slot in as a reliable main straight to fade fairway driver, this is definitely worth a look. In my experience it does beat in quite quickly and does become straight after a while.

An amazing disc that fits in the hand perfect, and delivers predictable overstable flights over and over again. Have had one in the bag now for most of my playing and it always has a use on basically every course I play.

This quickly became my favorite fairway driver. It can be thrown hard, in a headwind and always comes back from the anhyzer. The more seasoned it is, the straighter it becomes. Have several Raptors in my bag with different plastic and conditions.

Amazing disc. Became a go to right away. Comfortable in the hand, and extremely reliable on windy days.

In the Discraft lineup it's THE overstable fairway ! Not too overstable neither too straight , a staple in my bag !

The Raptor is in my eyes next to the Buzzz and the Zone the must-have disc in the Discraft lineup. I personally have thrown the Raptor in Z, ESP and Tour Series plastic and it has become irreplaceable for me over time. For beginners it is not really suitable yet because of the strong fade. The disc is perfect for backhand throws in strong wind, but also perfect for tight lines in the woods. I also love it for the reliability on forehand throws. I'm definitely not the best forehand player, but the Raptor forgives some mistakes on the drop because it fades reliably even with a light anhyzer release. It is also great for flex forehands. The disc has a relatively narrow but very good in the hand lying rim, which is an absolute advantage for skip shots or Sky Hyzer throws. My favorite plastic is the Tour Series plastic, as it is very grippy and does not feel stiff even in cold temperatures.
