Axiom Crave

The Axiom Crave is a stable fairway driver for all players. Most people will find a very straight disc suitable for workhorse duties. More powerful throwers will find fantastic anhyzer lines and hyzerflips.

R2 Eclipse from Gyro box was definitely one of the flippier Craves I have thrown. Same probably goes for R2 Neutron Craves. They do come at lighter weight so probably affects it.

Proton Craves I feel are slightly more flippy than normal Neutron craves. Can easily hyzer flip but always has a little turn.

Neutron without cosmic is less flippy than cosmic. Later runs of Neutron seem to be more flippy than the previous runs.

Eclipse 2 always excellent glow! This Crave has a lot of flip to it, but also very trusty fade. The Halloween stamp I feel does have more turn to it than the stock stamp.

One of my favorite discs and plastic. Soft Neutron Crave is excellent in colder weather, but have also provided trusty turn and fade in warm weather. Soft plastic makes it stop where it lands without skipping too much.

One of my favorite discs and plastic. Fission in low weight (140-150g) is a pure flippy disc and can be utilised in so many ways. Max weight has less turn and will fade quicker. Always bagging a low and max weight Fission Crave.

I think most can agree that this is one of the best discs in the Axiom lineup. Great for beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Goes really far on a slower armspeed but put some more speed into it a you'll get those beatiful s-curves or laser straight flipups with a reliable fade at the end. I love this disc.

174 g Cosmic Neutron.

This is the odd one out from the plastics. Cosmic neutron always seem to be the flattest. I've not thrown mine too muck yet but it's most definitely the most stable crave I've thrown, it's really close to your standard "7 5 0 2"-driver. Trying to improve (introduce) my forehand at the moment and this has a lovely feel for that, and there a can get a bit of turn from it.

173 g Plasma.

A bit flatter than both the fission and proton, a bit more stability as well with less turn and a more reliable fade. This doesn't feel that far off your standard "7 5 0 2"-driver. I Reach for this when I want a dead straight throw or when the hyzer-angle becomes steeper or there's a slight headwind. Will flip a bit but not to the extent of the proton or fission in my experience.

173 g Proton.

My favorite fairway driver. In calm conditions it will always do it's work and is a bit more "domey" than the other crave plastics I have that gives it that extra bit of glide. Workable for most lines except really hard hyzers but does shine brightest in push-hyzers and hyzer-flips. Will hold anhyzers for a while but is likely to return to flat by the end. When in doubt, this is the disc i turn to.

164 g Fission.

Great disc, useful really early, perhaps as a second control driver after like a leopard.
Flips up on a hyzer angle, add a bit more power and you have a nice turnover. Useful for anhyzer shots since it holds that angle for a long time. This is the lightest crave I have so it might be the 10 g less but I have found fission the flippiest and the second most "domey" after the proton.

If you are a MVP fan, then this is a must have, it's so amazing, I feel like this disc is much more an 8 speed disc and more understable than it's suggested. But really great disc all around, forehand or back hand you name it. But if you mostly play in a wooded area, don't get it in brown, this disc can be a pain to find in that color pattern, especially in fall.

I bag several Neutron Craves and usually go to them for fairway and 300ft holes. Put simply, this disc will never let you down. You'll probably let it down, but it will never let you down.

The Crave is a great example of what MVP does really well - a flat top disc that has surprising distance and feels great in your hand.

What more do you need?

For the longest while I was trying to figure out my fairway-slots. I've been through so many discs that I've lost count. Then I tried the Crave...

As quite a few others have mentioned, the Crave is an extremely versatile fairway driver. In fact, it's the most versatile fairway driver I've thrown. Every now and then you stumble upon a disc which feels like a game-changer and that's exactly what this disc is for me. Default disc for long, tight fairways where I don't want the dump and putter/mid can't get me where I need to be. I throw it both bh and fh but with that in mind, I'm still forehand-dominated player (and a woman so I'll never be able to go to crush-town like MPO).

Thrown on a hyzer it'll hold the line predictably.
Give it some juice and it'll flip to flat and go soooo far and laser-straight with a mild forward dump at the end. I can easily get this thing to go 100m with a golf-throw, probably a good bit farther doing field.

Thrown on a mild anhyzer it'll hold the line for the longest while before it slowly pans out.

I guess the Crave is what I wanted the Passion to be, a longer Buzzz but Passion's shape never sat right in my hand. Alongside Latitude 64 KT First Run Grace and MVP's Eclipse 2.0 Reactor, Crave is my favourite disc and I constantly reach for it. Oh, and Axiom discs comes in so many beautiful colour-combinations

One of my absolute favorite discs. This is one of those discs people ask on the course: "what disc was that?", because it flies so beautifully. I rely on this disc heavily in the woods for straight shots through gaps and controlled turnover hyzerflips. This disc handles alot of torque so you can really lean into this one. For that reason, and the fact that they are pretty flat (not board flat), this disc is also a very good forehand disc. Put a small hyzerangle on it and watch it bomb straight, or hold a long, penetrating anhyzer. I keep two in my bag, one pretty fresh and one beat in. Learn to throw the crave and you wont need much else for fairways.

The Axiom Crave is in my opinion the most versatile Fairway Driver in the MVP line up and an excellent choice for players of every level.

It can be used forehand and backhand without a problem and do pretty much any shot you want it to do as long as you give it the right angle and height. And while doing that it will also give you sneaky distance without a lot of effort on your side, which makes it perfect for wooded courses, while still being able to handle some power which makes it as usable on those open bomber holes.

It also is a great disc to give to someone who wants to get into Fairway drivers, since this disc will be useful really fast and will still be useful for the player when he is on a higher level.

I myself bag 3 of them right now and with Fission Craves on the horizon I am pretty confident that this number may go up.

Best go to fairway driver there is! Holds every line. The Cosmic is a little bit more overstable and the plasma/neutron is a little more stable/understable. I bag at least 4 of them! If you only can take one disc between speed 5-9, take the Crave for sure!

Flies similar to my DX Eagle, but with less fade. Throw it flat and you get a tight s-curve, slight hyzer to get it to flip up and right straight for 90% of its flight.

I've only thrown the newer Craves, for which the flight numbers are actually quite accurate for. Older Craves were supposedly more overstable than the new ones.

I'm mainly using the Crave for sidearm throws. The disc has a narrow rim, which makes it easy to grab with a sidearm grip. It's allowed me to improve my form and even though I'm still much better with a backhand throw, the Crave allows me to make shots that fade to the opposite direction reliably.

Conversely, the narrow rim feels a little awkward for backhand throws.
